How To Remove Windows Write Protection on Your Removeable Devices

Had experienced could not copy data from your computer to a removable storage devices? very annoying isn’t?
Or have you got this message before?
“Windows Write Protection Error… ” when trying to copy files from your PC to your removeable storage.
This is caused by the protection on your computer, which is regulated through the windows registry.
It’s really useful for computers that store important data and confidential, but if this is for the personal computer and your daily work, I do not recommend to implement such protection, because it is very complicated and troubled many people around you.
It’s better if you have important data, not stored them in a public folders, better keep in your personal folder, or use additional software to protect them.
To solve the write protection on removeable storage devices problem, if you have an Administrator right in your local computer, follow these steps:

Click the start button

Select run
-
Type “regedit” (without quotes) then enter

Then browse to the following KEY:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ StorageDevicePolicies]
“WriteProtect” = dword: 00000001
-
-
Change the value of 1 to 0
-
Unplug the removeable storage, then replug it

Done, you’ll be able to copy your data to a flash
